The Friends of the Metropolitan Library System enhance and strengthen the knowledge bases available for all Oklahoma County citizens, kindle the living library's presence in the community and challenge diverse groups to develop gifts as they soar into the 21st century.Objectives and Purpose
Of the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System
- To maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries.
- To focus public attention on library services, facilities and the needs of the Metropolitan Library System.
- To stimulate gifts of materials to the Metropolitan Library System including books, magazines, desirable collections, endowments, grant requests, and other support as prescribed by the association.
